A new year can mean a lot of new ideas, resolutions, and changes. I don’t have any resolutions for 2026, but I have plenty of new ideas and changes I want to implement in my house.

Originally, we were going to get stamped concrete to surround the pool and seating areas, both for the price and a better look than the traditional smooth concrete. However, after one meeting at Bill's Landscaping in Colts Neck, NJ, we changed our minds.

The covered pavilion was the second most important part of the backyard design and needed to be part of the design with the pool. We decided on a large 20 x 20 ft pavilion.

The first part of the backyard design was the building out the inground pool. The pool needed to be built first due to the intricate network of pipes that connect to the cleaning system and construction began at the end of August 2024.
